This ancient fortress of the 13th century, established on a model that Jacques de St-Georges was to distribute as far as Gascony, imposes itself by its austerity. The door tower of the entrance porch punctuates this quadrilateral reinforced at the corners by four cylindrical towers.
Building probably built towards the end of the 13th century or the beginning of the 14th century for the oldest parts. Quadrangular castle flanked by four circular towers in the corners and a gate tower with a drawbridge in the center of the west facade, curtain walls pierced with loopholes on two levels. The square keep located to the east has disappeared. The south and east wings are the most transformed, with the opening of many windows for the first and the partial destruction of the curtain for the second.
