As its name suggests, Montignac and Toupinerie were originally two separate parishes whose first written traces of their existence dates back to the 11th century. By decree of 17 April 1806, Toupinerie will be attached as an annex to Montignac. Between Seyches and Miramont-de-Guyenne, this rural invites relaxation and tranquility. It provides relief of hills, dotted with groves and occupied by a predominantly cereal agriculture.
