Montaimont:
Village of Savoie, Montaimont is a former French commune became common delegate of the new town of Saint François Longchamp on January 1, 2017. It takes place in the natural region of the lower Maurienne, twenty kilometers from Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne and forty kilometers from Chambéry.
The town takes its name from Mount Aymonis and dates from the first half of the eleventh century. Marked over the centuries by the passage of many invaders, it was also the scene of several devastating plagues between the seventeenth and twentieth century.

The ski resort is the main tourist interest of Saint-François-Longchamp. Built in the 1950s, with the longest and fastest ski lift in Savoie at the time. The field of Saint-François-Longchamp is 152 kilometers of ski slopes, and 50 km of cross-country ski trails. It is connected to the domain of Valmorel to create the resort of Grand-Domaine. The resort is also open in summer with activities as diverse and varied as hiking, climbing, airbag, swimming or tennis. The resort also has two city stadiums, a four-season toboggan run, a plant discovery trail, or rafting, canyoning or hydrospeed facilities.
Full of charm, the village of Saint-François-Longchamp has a beautiful typical Savoyard architecture with houses colombines whose particularity is to have a wooden frame independent walls. While walking in the village, one can also appreciate the architecture of the chapel Sainte-Anne.
Saint-François-Longchamp is home to a beautiful natural heritage. Several religious buildings take place on the territory of Montaimont. Saint-François-Longchamp is a village which does not miss animations, thanks to the presence of its very tourist resort of winter sports.
Every year in December, Saint-François-Longchamp organizes a colorful Christmas market on the snow front.
Between March and April, Saint-François-Longchamp offers Operation Ski in Spring, entirely free for children. Various activities related to skiing are offered to younger guests.
In August, the village hosts part of the events of the triathlon of the Madeleine.
In summer, night hikes are also offered to enjoy the charms of the region and admire the fauna and flora.
Montaimont:
La Perriere hosts the festivities of St. Anthony on the Sunday closest to January 17.
At the end of July, place at the Festival des Alpages with a blessing of herds and tastings of local products.
August 15, a celebration of the Virgin is proposed in the chapel of Beaurevers.
A fair is organized every 24th of August.
