Located in the former palace of the Court of aid, Montauban, the Natural History Museum Victor Brown was founded in the mid-nineteenth century by the Society of Sciences, Agriculture and Belles Lettres of the Tarn-et-Garonne. He took the name of its first curator, Victor Brown, also holds the bulk of the funds.
The visitors passing by the museum can discover five rooms rich in diverse and varied species. Welcomed by the elephant circus Pinder, they can then enjoy a multitude of birds from around the world or felines. The Natural History Museum Victor Brown has also dioramas on the local fauna and flora, as well as collections of fossils and meteorites found there.
Educational and cultural activities for all ages are offered throughout the year, as well as guided tours or naturalistic walks.
