That's a montaigu that gave the village its name.
On the far enough in the Save valley, you can see at the top, among the greenery, the slender tower of the Notre-Dame d'Alet who watches over the village since the eleventh century. Beside him stood a castle, property of the Lords of Montaigut, who disappeared during the Revolution.
Below the plains of the Save devotes its rich land to the cultivation of cereals.
Then south, we enter the forest of Bouconne, rich with many hiking trails including the GR 653 that leads from Arles to Compostela. This forest is home to the leisure and equipment for public reception and offers discovery activities of nature and environmental education.
