Jewel of the Gers, the Museum of Fine Arts and Decorative Arts of Mirande was created in the first half of the 19th century by Joseph Delort, an art lover and man of letters who then worked at the Ministry of the Interior.
Visitors can discover here exceptional collections of Italian, Flemish or French paintings from the 15th to the 19th century, mainly portraits. The site also unveils very beautiful earthenware from different workshops in southwestern France, thus offering the richest classical art collection in the entire department.
Also nicknamed the Museum of Little Masters, the Museum of Fine Arts and Decorative Arts of Mirande allows you to admire works by Chardin, Pierre Mignard, Van der Neer or Le Pérugin.
