- History:
- Several hypotheses attempt to give the origin of the name Meuilley: either a wet or a report with "homer", that is to say the extent of wheat lands are very fertile. Other studies show that Meuil-is perhaps a derivative of "manse", these houses with vegetable earth around (former medieval term to delineate habitats and make them a property tax accordingly). The upper valley of Meuzin (river fish of the first category) opens here.
- Meuilley has long placed a leprosarium that the construction of the Hospices de Nuits suppressed.
- The church was rebuilt in the 19th century on the site of the previous (15th century inscription preserved).
