Messemé

The town's jewel is undoubtedly the elegant La Motte castle (private site) decorated with a moat and a vast hunting ground. Built in the fifteenth century on a feudal mound, it still belongs to the same family since its origins. Remodeled in the nineteenth century, it is a rectangular building flanked on two thin facade of turrets and pepper shakers on the other, two old round towers.

The old church Villiers (private site) is ruined since the nineteenth century, still only the bell tower. He was given the name "Breteche" this ultra-simplified design of the bell tower (name whose meaning is different in architectural language: protruding stall on a façade).
