Saint-Sever-Calvados:

Fontenermont:

Fontenermont was part of the diocese of Coutances and the deanery of Montbray. The Lord Charles Du Rozel de Coulanges commanded the armies of the Chouans' revolt at the same time as General Frotté, retired to the castle of Saint-Pois.

Fontenermont was attached to the fourth bouillon of Granville and the town is currently located in the sleeve which borders 85 percent of its territory from which one can see on the hill of Bois au Cerf Mont Saint-Michel and its Bay.

Seven Brothers:

Ideally located to meet three departments that are Calvados, Manche and Orne, Sept-Frères allows you to have a central point of visits to many tourist sites such as Mont-Saint-Michel and Villedieu-les- Stoves.

In full Normandy, the city of Saint-Sever-Calvados offers a beautiful architectural and natural heritage in the middle of Normandy.

Former 13th century abbey, Notre-Dame-de-Saint-Sever church has been listed as a Historic Monument. Gothic style, this abbey was built on a Romanesque building of the eleventh century which remains no trace. We can still admire a belfry of the late seventeenth century whose particularity is to be separated from the nave. Inside, visitors can enjoy many works of art classified as objects.

The forest of Saint-Sever is the most beautiful tourist site of the territory of Saint-Sever-Calvados. With an area of ​​more than 1,550 hectares, it covers almost the entire territory of the city. Siena and Brévogne take their source, and you can enjoy a beautiful flora and interesting wildlife. Roe deers, wild boars, badgers and gray herons live there almost year-round. Many walking trails have been built there, just like an arboretum. The pond of the Old Castle, in the heart of the forest, is a popular gathering place. One can also discover a motte of the Old Castle, classified as an historic monument. The chapel of the Hermitage, dating from the seventeenth century, has an altarpiece, a high relief, foliage and a bust of Christ classified.

Also worthy of note is the beautiful town hall housed in ancient monastic buildings dating back to the 17th century.

Saint-Sever-Calvados:

The city of Saint-Sever-Calvados regularly hosts interesting events.

A food market takes place every Saturday of the year, from 8am to 1pm. During the month of August, the city also hosts its traditional fair of St. Bartholomew, with its competition cotentin sheep and its funfair.

In June, place at the festival of the Abbey dedicated to sacred music. For three evenings, the old abbey of the city hosts concerts of different styles such as gospel, or negro spirituals.

In October, the city hosts the Culturemboc art festival focused on dance, music, and also interesting exhibitions.
