Small village of Corrèze located at the limit of Puy-de-Dôme, between Brive-la-Gaillarde and Clermont-Ferrand, Merlines takes place at 770 meters altitude. It borders the communes of Messeix and Eygurande.
Property of the lord of Lagarde under the Ancien Regime, the commune of Merlines as we know it developed in the late nineteenth century with the arrival of the railway. The one that was long border between France and England between the twelfth and thirteenth century retained its interesting past architectural heritage and historical interest.
Full of charm, the village is also appreciated for its calm and its surrounding nature that it is possible to discover the time of a stay in the surroundings or during family walks.
