Town in Gironde, in Aquitaine region Nova, Martignas-sur-Jalle takes place about fifteen kilometers from Bordeaux, in the heart of Country Graves and Landes Cernes. It is located near the wine territory of Pessac-Leognan, near Bordeaux-Merignac airport and municipalities Salaunes Eysines and Le Haillan.
Occupied since prehistoric times, as evidenced by the remains found there, the territory of Martignas-sur-Jalle mainly started to develop in the Middle Ages. The official town comes from a Templar institution depended on the Commandery of Bordeaux.
