Located in the 1st arrondissement of Marseille, the Louvre et Paix, or Hôtel de la Marine, is a former private mansion built for Charles Pot in the second half of the 19th century.
Listed as a Historic Monument, it unveils on its facade four caryatids representing the four continents, while the clock on the pediment is surrounded by subjects representing trade and navigation.
Considered to be one of the most beautiful buildings in La Canebière, this Second Empire building now houses a department store after having hosted the French Navy for a long time.
