Current town hall, the current castle of Marignane was built in the middle of the 14th century by Guillaume de Baux. Bought by the municipality at the end of the 19th century, the building has changed a lot over the centuries, going from a medieval fortress to an urban palace, including a Renaissance residence and a private mansion.
Completely restored in the 16th century, the castle of Marignane was a little later decorated with two wings which close three sides of the main courtyard. Listed as an historic monument, it has inside its magnificent plasterwork fireplaces made by Jean-Louis Miche in the 17th century.
