The Bois-de-l'Humeau manor is located in the commune of Marcé, in the department of Maine-et-Loire, 23 km northeast of Angers.
Located to the north-east of the small town, it is the seat of a stronghold built in the 17th and 18th centuries.
In the form of a three-level main building (the second floor being arranged under the attic in the Mansard style) with a wing in return, the manor displays a resolutely classic style. This is evidenced by the openings at roof level or the windows with ornate frames and guardrails.
On one of the lintels, shields with coats of arms have been carved.
A circular dovecote from the same period has been preserved.
A French garden is still visible at the rear of the house. Common areas complete the area.
The property, protected as historical monuments, is always private. It is not open to the public but it is possible to observe this beautiful example of noble architecture in a rural environment after a walk in this characterful town which has other heritage sites of interest.
