Castle of Madic

The castle Madic was the largest military structure of the Haute Auvergne, since its construction, made from 1469 to 1480. It consisted of four including two towers still exist. On the military level, it is claimed that in 1200 armed men would be stationed permanently held and 800 horses to have occupied the stables.

Some of these forms the basis of the present house when deputies were in the 15th century, the first floor and in the early 19th century façade, Directoire style, as well as a second floor.

The castle is privately owned and inhabited Madic.
