Located at Lons, the Pau Parachutists Museum was created in the 1980s to retrace the entire history of French military paratroopers from their creation until today.
The site consists of five tables preceded by explanatory videos. Each of them unveils stagings with mannequins, weapons and vehicles to recall the creation of the movement, the Second World War, the war in Indochina, the war in Algeria and the contemporary world.
The Musée des Parachutistes de Pau also unveils a crypt erected in the heart of its building in honor of the disbanded units and those who have fallen in combat. Thematic temporary exhibitions are also regularly offered there.
