The church was destroyed by the war 14-18 was built in 1547 and contained among others a chair considered a masterpiece of sculpture. A member of King James the same family , lord of Hamel and Hauteloge was knighted in 1622. One of his descendants had the honor of being presented to the court of Louis XV.
