Built in the first half of the twentieth century, between 1924 and 1932, the City Hall Lille is the work of architect Emile Dubuisson who was inspired triangular gables of Flemish style for his building entirely of concrete armed.
Ranked historic monument, it presents an impressive foyer of over one hundred meters long with two rows of pillars. In the mounted stair, it is possible to enjoy an incredible collection of contemporary art, which is also found in municipal halls or corridors. Difficult to resist the fresco artist Erro, which traces the history of the Northern city in comics.
The Lille City Hall also reveals a bell tower 104 meters high world heritage of UNESCO. On its carrier base, it is possible to discover the sculptures representing the two founding giants of the town. This can be visited every day except certain holidays.
