Lescheraines is a village of Savoie, in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, 25 km east of Aix-les-Bains and 30 km south of Annecy.

The territory of 8.1 km² belongs to the Bauges massif, in the French pre-Alps, which covers part of the two Savoyard departments.

Benefiting from a favorable strategic situation, at the junction of several valleys, Lescheraines formed of a village and several hamlets belongs under the Old regime to seigneuries who build strong houses to control the roads and ensure the commercial development of the city.

Agricultural activity based on dairy farming and cheese production is now complemented by wood crafts and tourism.

A recreational base has been set up on the edge of a lake adjacent to the river and the proximity of the surrounding peaks as the green environment of the town delight hikers. At the heart of the Bauges Regional Nature Park and close to famous resorts and cities, Lescheraines (nearly 800 inhabitants) is worth a detour and is even a pleasant place to stay.
