A medieval castle located in the heart of Cantal, the Château des Ternes dates from the 16th century. Rebuilt on the remains of a first 12th century fortified castle razed in 1573, it consists of a main building with two large round towers with a square keep in the middle. Listed as a Historic Monument, it is accessible to the public from July to August.
At the foot of the Château des Ternes, visitors can enjoy a large park with picnic tables.
