The small village of Le Valtin is located in the Vosges. It takes place not far from the famous town of Gerardmer in the district of Saint-Die-des-Vosges. First village crossed by the Meurthe, whose source is close, Le Valtin is best known to house within it a ski resort popular.
The town as we know it today was created in the late thirteenth century. It was long a center of iron ore mining in the Middle Ages. Today, this small village with typical architecture of the Vosges turned mainly on tourism and agriculture.
Le Valtin is a quiet and full of charm town in which to spend a few days to find rest away from the city bustle. Hiking and other outdoor activities found their paradise Le Valtin.
