Village of nearly 5400 inhabitants, Le Puy is located north of the department, bordering Durance a few kilometers from Aix-en-Provence and Luberon.
There are several hamlets outside its historic center (St Canadet, The Cride, The Goirands). Bordered to the west by the mountains of Rognes, its natural boundary to the south is marked by the chain Trévaresse.
It reflects an important natural heritage as well as a festive and cultural life lively.
Le Puy-Sainte-Réparade is dominated by a hill where stands the "Quilho" ruined medieval castle, once a possession of the bishops of Aix, and demolished in the 17th century by order of the Parliament of Provence. Exceptional natural site is now a preferred walk with stunning views over the Durance valley.
