Commune of Sarthe, region Pays de la Loire, Le Grand-Lucé is located about thirty kilometers from the city of Le Mans. With a population of just over 2,000 inhabitants, it is seduced by its small country town and its large greenery.
Feudal mound from the beginning of the eleventh century, the town of Grand-Luce was erected in barony by Francis I in 1539. Destroyed entirely during a fire in the late eighteenth century, the town quickly reborn from the ashes around the castle spared. Today a small town, Le Grand-Lucé still attracts many visitors because of the richness of its architectural and historical heritage.
The proximity of the Sarthe city with Le Mans and its old town makes it an ideal holiday resort in the region.
