Small village of Cantal, in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, Le Claux takes place in the heart of the Massif Central, in the Regional Natural Park of the Volcanoes of Auvergne. It is located at 1050 meters above sea level, not far from Murat.
Recent, the commune of Claux was born in 1835 following a distraction of the commune of Cheylade. Not having an important architectural heritage, it is mainly known for its natural richness and its many landscapes to discover the time of hikes and other outdoor activities.
Located in the valley of Cheylade, not far from the puy Mary, the village of Claux presents an important choice of hiking trails accessible to all levels of walkers.
