Erected in the 16th century in the town of Le Cannet, the Tour des Danys is an impressive square tower 9 m high and 5.35 m wide. Oldest construction of the city preserved in the state, it profits from an inscription with the additional inventory of the Historical Monuments.
The Tour des Danys was originally part of a fortified house built by the monks of the Lérins Islands which allowed access to Le Cannet from Cannes. This defensive character is recalled by the almost systematic absence of openings and the presence of battlements.
