Located 10 km from Morzine, 18 km from Thonon-les-Bains, and 8 km from Abondance, Le Biot is the capital of the canton of Chablais, and is the link between the Aulps valley and the valley of Abundance, via the Corbier pass.
The site is ideal with young children for the first discoveries of snow and tobogganing safely!
A relaxing setting for lovers of open spaces and unspoiled nature, who will enjoy discovering the snowy mountain on snowshoe trails and cross-country ski trail.
This village was one of the first built on the natural passage of traders who rallied the Abondance valley by the Corbier pass. Remains of this activity, Le Biot kept its hall in the center of the village, recalling its past trading when fairs and markets attracted the entire population of the valley.
Thanks to its elevated position, the Corbier Pass saw the birth in the 1970s of a small family ski resort called Drouzin le Mont, straddling the Aulps valley and the Abondance valley.
Since July 2018, the resort has a trail of 4.4 km. It starts from the bottom of Biot and arrives at the Col de Planchamp, and if the desire takes you, you can push even higher until the Croix d'Ouzon before going down.
