Medieval castle of Loir-et-Cher, Castle Lavardin today enjoys a historic monument classification. Installed on a rocky promontory above the village and the Dormouse, the ruins of the eleventh century still show traces of the speakers, the chapel or even a house of the late sixteenth century.
There is also still an impressive tower of the twelfth century based in part on the walls of the original home of the eleventh.
