Big town shopping at the edge of three valleys, 45 minutes from Valencia and 35 minutes from Tournon-sur-Rhône, Lamastre tells its story through an interpretive trail "Lamastre in Lights" which takes you during the Wars religion, but also more recently in the Second World War where people have bravely shown.

The Ardèche train, the "Mastrou", a small Vivarais steam train, takes you to Lamastre from the Tournon-Saint-Jean station located in Saint-Jean-de-Muzols, through the Gorges du Doux, a journey through time... It attracted many filmmakers who came to shoot at Lamastre (Les Enfants du Marais, L'Horloger de Saint-Paul and many others...).
Le Train du Marché, on Tuesday mornings in July and August, a railcar takes you to Lamastre to stock up on groceries at one of the largest markets in the Ardèche.

La Dolce Via, a gentle route designed for hikers and cyclists on the route of the old railway line which linked Lamastre to Le Cheylard to then join either La Voulte-sur-Rhône in the valley or Saint-Agrève on the plateau (75 km developed, 90 km in 2018).
