Town Hautes-Pyrenees region in Occitan, Laloubère takes place just a few kilometers from Tarbes, in the Pyrenean foothills. It lies at the heart of Bigorre, near Momères, Salles-Adour and Aureilhan.

That which was once called Loupbatère or country of wolves, takes its name from the strong invasion of wolves she knew the eleventh and the twelfth century. She had a turbulent history over the centuries, especially during the religious wars in the second half of the sixteenth century with the destruction caused by the Protestant troops.

Things to see and do

Walking through the village of Laloubère, you can enjoy the charms of the Church of the invention-Saint-Etienne, the castle or the Priory of Our Lady of the Snows now occupied by the Norbertine brothers.

The town also hosts the oldest racecourse in France, which continues to serve as reception areas at various horse races and golf Greater Green that boasts an ideal natural setting.
