- Lachalade has seven sites or monuments emblematic of the sometimes painful history of the village:
- A Cistercian abbey church listed as a Historic Monument from the 11th and 12th centuries.
- The ossuary monument of Haute-Chevauchée, erected in 1922 on coast 285 on the lips of one of the mine funnels that line the front line in this sector of Argonne.
- The national necropolis of the Forest, where rest French soldiers.
- The monument dedicated to the Garibaldians, and in particular to Bruno and Costante Garibaldi fallen in December 1914 and January 1915.
- The Kaiser Tunnel (currently closed), a German underground structure linking the ravine of Meurissons to the ravine of the Dead Girl.
- The engineering ravine, on the French side, occupied by the 1st Engineer Regiment, which played a decisive role in the mining war in the area.
- A stele dedicated to the seven airmen of the Royal Air Force, who fell in the forest of Argonne on November 18, 1943 and are buried in the communal cemetery.
- The village is since 2016 on the roads of Compostela from Belgium. A circuit of 11 km connects all the remarkable sites of the town.
