Municipality of Essonne, in the Île-de-France region, La Ville-du-Bois takes place about fifteen kilometers from Evry and about twenty kilometers from Paris and its monuments.
Originally a hamlet created in the 10th or 11th century, La Ville-du-Bois was built at the crossroads of two major roads of Gallic origin leading from Villejust to Montlhéry and from Marcoussis to Ballainvilliers. The one that takes its name in the 14th century experienced a significant boom in the 18th century with its many craftsmen and traders in different trades.
From this rich past, the municipality of La Ville-du-Bois has preserved an interesting architectural heritage to discover during a stay in the Ile-de-France region.
