Les Hauts-Talican are common in the Oise region Hauts-de-France, fifteen kilometers southwest of Beauvais.
It was officially created on 1 January 2019 following the merger of Beaumont-les-Nonains, the seat (344 inhabitants), of La Neuville-Garnier (259 inhabitants) and Villotran (281 inhabitants), so with nearly 890 inhabitants.
Belonging to the natural region Pays de Thelle, bordering the Vexin, the territory of 22 square kilometers has a discreetly hilly countryside, consists of woodlands, meadows and crops.
The heritage of ancient villages now gathered and green environment for a pleasant walk are the Hauts-Talican a pleasant step in Beauvais.
In terms of heritage as well as its name suggests, the village of Beaumont-les-Nonains possessed since the early Middle Ages a monastery. The first was destroyed in 1185. In parallel, an abbey founded in the locality Jouy-la-Grange was moved to another village, The Long Street. This so-called Marcheroux Abbey was founded in 1122 by a disciplinary St. Norbert, causing Premonstratensian. The entire site (church, convent building) was seized and sold as national property during the Revolution. He then became property of farmers who transformed the buildings into commercial buildings.
Protected titles of historical monuments, the remains of the abbey are the subject since 1995 of restoration work carried out by an association of volunteers. Today, the abbey is partly renovated and it distinguishes its choir and apse medieval (XIII). The nave and the western facade were rebuilt in contrast to 1710. See then in the same town of Beaumont-les-Nonains, Assumption Church of Our Lady which houses a collection of polychrome statues of the fifteenth century depicting a Madonna and Child, St. Fiacre and angels "céroféraires "that is to say, carrying candles.
At the village of La Neuville-Garnier, the church dedicated to Saint Eloi date for its oldest parts of the half of the twelfth century. Thus remark traces of Romanesque cornice.
Finally, at Villotran two buildings deserve attention. An elegant century castle surrounded by a park that passes through an alley, first, the whole being perfectly preserved and well maintained, but the property is private and is not open to visitors.
The Notre-Dame-de-Lorette then built during the first half of the sixteenth century and whose typical material we see in the region: brick and flint. Curiously, the windows are older (XV), and are attributed by historians to glassmakers Beauvais, Prince.
