La Motte

Originally built in the 11th century for a priory, the Church of Saint-Victor was partly transformed at the end of the 18th century, then in the 19th century, with major extensions. Full of charm, the building today reveals to its visitors the altar of Saint Quinis with a gilded wood altarpiece from the 17th century, baptismal font with a painting of the baptism of Christ from the 19th century or even a very beautiful bust of Saint 18th century Faustin.

While strolling, you will also be able to appreciate the many green spaces of the Provençal city, with in particular the park of the castle of Esclans, the park of the castle of Valbourgès or the jump of Capelan. This waterfall of more than twenty meters high is accessible via a promenade that runs along the vineyards and orchards.

Installed in the early 2000s in a former oil mill, the Museum of History and Traditions in Mott unveils works by Robert Pizay, a local woodcarver, picture maker and poet.

The Provencal market of La Motte is held every Friday morning.

At the beginning of April, the town offers to discover the charms of tango with the Galoubet festival.

Concerts are organized in June on the occasion of the Fête de la Musique.

At the beginning of May, place aux Foulées Mottoises with foot races of 600 meters, 1.5 km and 11 km, as well as an 11 km hike.
