Classified as Historical Monuments for its facade, the Church of Our Lady of La Jarne, in Charente-Maritime, is a single nave building with a Romanesque facade pierced with a central archivolt portal semicircular arch with ornate keystones and equipped with monolithic columns.
Considered to be one of the oldest churches in the parish, Notre-Dame de La Jarne has undergone several transformations, notably with the widening of its nave in the 15th century and the reconstruction of its choir in the 18th century.
