Built in the second half of the 18th century, the Château de Buzay is located in the town of La Jarne, in Charente-Maritime. Witness to the wealth of La Rochelle and its surroundings at the time of maritime trade with the colonies of the New World, the building has retained its original furnishings.
With its perfectly proportioned architecture, it seduces with its harmony and elegance. It nestles in the middle of a 19th century park with symmetrical flowerbeds.
Accessible to visitors from July to the end of September, the Château de Buzay is also available for hire for wedding receptions or period film shoots, like the Tiger Brigades.
During the visit, you will appreciate the beauty of the Louis XVI style exterior facades with slate roofs or the triangular pediment resting on four Ionic columns.
