Located in the mountain of Sept Laux, in the commune of Haut-Bréda, in Isère, Lac Carré takes place at an altitude of 2135 m. Considered one of the most important of the Sept Laux lakes, it is accessible via a marked hiking trail.
The site is located near an EDF power station and a refuge welcoming hikers in season.
