The common La Chapelle-d'Aurec is very easy access by the RN 88 between Saint-Etienne (42) in Puy-en-Velay (43). This communication channel allowed the town to develop in harmony around the town. One of the geographical limits of the town is the river Loire. This one is still wild and is a paradise for fishermen and canoe trip. The gorges of the river are home to birds of all kinds, some of which are protected.
