Nestled at the foot of the vineyard from which it draws much of its economy, the village of La Celle-sous-Chantemerle lives a quiet life in the image of the press camped outside the church under its canopy of wood.
In his past, he has experienced intense periods. With Chantemerle, he was, from the 11th to 15th century, the heart of a very important road junction for trade between the poles of Champagne and outside. To the point that built a fortress associated with the Priory of La Celle Saint Serein.
More recently, the plaque on the memorial commemorates the sacrifice of three resistance fighters during the release of 29 August 1944.
The town got its first flower in 2003 and organizes every year in May, a craft fair and gourmet.
Good walk in the village and vineyards !
