Listed in the Historical Monuments for the buildings of the old Charterhouse, its facades, its roofs, its park, its factories and its enclosure walls, the Château de Salette in La Balme-les-Grottes, in Isère, is a private property not accessible to visitors.
Built at the end of the 19th century on the site of a former 13th century chartreuse for women, the Château de Salette has retained some of its original decor and still has a park landscaped in the 19th century.
