L'Escarène is an old town in the hinterland of Nice, halfway between the sea and the Parc National du Mercantour, situated on the road between the Col de Tende Nice and the de Braus. More than half of its territory is composed of pine and oak, with trails for easy walks.
With its squares, its fountains and medieval houses, the old quarters of L'Escarène fall in the purest tradition of Provence.
Lulled by the gentle lapping waters of Paillon through the village, old bridges L'Escarène are essential, as well as St. Peter's Church with its two chapels and its beautiful baroque facade.
