Former residence of a large family of cognac merchants, the Saint-Martial castle of Jarnac, in Charente, was erected at the end of the 19th century. In neo-Renaissance style, it has a plan centered in H.
Listed as a Historic Monument, the castle of Jarnac reveals a main facade framed by two polygonal avant-corps, a rear facade with a central peristyle supporting a balcony with balusters or another monumental horseshoe staircase.
The site, which cannot be visited, now houses five guest rooms.
