Commune of Manche, in Normandy, Isigny-le-Buat takes place about thirty kilometers from Mont-Saint-Michel, not far from Marcilly and Saint-Ovin.
If its territory is old and populated for many centuries, the town was really born at the end of the 1960s from the merger of Isigny and Buat. Dynamic and full of charm, today it unveils to its visitors an impressive religious heritage which testifies to an exceptional past and an important wealth.

While strolling in the heart of Isigny-le-Buat, you will be able to admire the incredible religious heritage of the town, discovering in particular the chapel of Notre-Dame-de-la-Miséricorde-et-du-Rosaire from the 16th century known for its exhibition of statues of religious art, the church of Saint-Martin-d'Isigny, the church of Saint-Jean-du-Buat from the 17th century, the church of Saint-Pierre de Naftel and its 15th century stone cross, the church of Saint -Martin de Chalandrey from the 18th century or the Notre-Dame de Montigny church with its processional cross classified as an historic monument.
Former church of the priory of Biards, the Saint-Martin church is particularly worth a stop, revealing a magnificent architecture of the XVIth century today classified as Historical Monuments. Visitors can in particular admire a two-storey bell tower in granite stone and a saddleback roof listed as an historic monument. The interior also unveils a fresco of the Annunciation made in the 1950s by the then priest of Biards, André Lecoutey.
But Isigny-le-Buat is also a beautiful civil heritage, starting with the castle of La Mancellière, a 17th century residence built on the remains of an older building. Not far away, a chapel with a charming little campanile is also unveiled in perfect condition.
Do not miss to admire the exteriors of the manor of the 19th century Faverie, the logis de Montgothier of the 18th century which benefits from an inscription in the supplementary inventory of Historical Monuments, the Château du Bois-Tyrel or the home of Isigny.
To enjoy the sun, head to the Vezins and La Roche-Qui-Boit dams where a leisure center has been set up and offers popular ice fishing spots.
Concerts and fireworks are organized in June on the occasion of the Fête de la Musique.
The communal festival offers its activities every last weekend of June with its cycle race for seniors and its meal.
