City of Bas-Rhin, in the plain of Alsace, Ingwiller takes place about forty kilometers from Strasbourg, in the Regional Natural Park of the Northern Vosges. It is located not far from Bouxwiller and Saverne, crossed by the Moder.
Occupied since the Gallo-Roman era, the town of Ingwiller became a full-fledged city in the mid-fourteenth century by privilege of the emperor. Ideally located, it has a significant industrial, commercial and artisanal development since the late nineteenth century, especially through its weavers or brewers. Even today, the old medieval city is considered a high place of regional trade.
Ingwiller is also popular with tourists and visitors for its proximity to some of the most beautiful sites in the region and for its historical and architectural heritage.
