Hèches is located in the center of the Pyrenees at the entrance to the Aure valley which connects to Spain via the Aragnouet-Bielsa tunnel. Authentic valley of pastoral tradition which then had activities of mining, marbles and hydroelectric production.

The hamlet of Héchettes enjoys a magnificent setting with the bridge spanning the Neste d'Aure, its listed tower and its church.
The habitat testifies to the architectural know-how of mountain villages, in particular by certain “bourgeois” houses of Hèches.
On both sides of the valley, the paths and trails ("Paths of the gates of the Aure valley") provide access to viewpoints over the valley and the Pyrenean peaks, the Baronnies or the Lannemezan plateau.
