Private property not accessible to visitors, the Château de Cisery in Guillon-Terre-Plaine, in Yonne, is however visible from the outside. The remains of the old seigniorial castle date from the 14th century, they have long since been transformed into a farm.
Originally, the Château de Cisery was flanked by four towers and surrounded by a moat filled with water. It was then accessible via a 16th century drawbridge postern.
