Small town of Haute-Savoie, Gruffy takes place at the foot of the Semnoz mountain, in the heart of the Regional Natural Park of the Bauges massif. It is located about twenty kilometers from Annecy, not far from Chapeiry or Allèves.
Populated since the Neolithic, as evidenced by the remains found and now exposed to the Museum of Annecy, the territory of Gruffy takes place in Roman times on the path connecting Annecy to Aix-les-Bains. The city developed strongly in the ninth century with the construction of a castle for the Counts of Geneva, which then passes into the hands of the county of Savoy.
Very dynamic, the city of Gruffy today attracts a large number of visitors for its architectural heritage, but also for its cultural events organized throughout the year.
