Rural town of Pas-de-Calais, in the Hauts-de-France region, Groffliers takes place in the natural region of Marquenterre on the banks of the bay of Authie. It is located not far from Berck, Conchil-le-Temple and Merlimont.
Nestled in the middle of the dunes, on the Opal Coast, this village between sea and countryside has a history dating back to the 12th century. Then associated with the commune of Waben, it experienced great prosperity thanks to its flourishing port at the mouth of the Authie.
