Located in the historic center of Grenoble, near the cathedral, the Museum of the Old Bishopric is housed in the former bishop's palace, a building protected as historical monuments.
The site features in the basement of the archaeological remains of prime importance witness of the religious history of the city: the baptistery dating from early Christian times. On the floors of the palace became a museum, the permanent exhibition in history Isere (s) you on a chronological journey to discover a territory, its history and its people. A bare stage design, a graphic and contemporary applications downloaded from the Internet sign the presentation of this exhibition.
