Germs-sur-l'Oussouet is a town in the Hautes-Pyrénées department, in the Occitanie region, 15 km south-east of Lourdes (by road).
Its territory of nearly 13 km² ranges from 555 to 1499 m above sea level, bordered to the east by the courses of the Oussouet and Lingors which flow from south to north and constitute its limit with Bagnères-de-Bigorre.
Belonging to the historic province of Lavedan formed by valleys upstream from Lourdes and formerly belonging to the county of Bigorre, the mid-mountain locality is covered with forests (37% of the land), herbaceous environments (35%) and grasslands (27%).
These latter are particularly dedicated to the pastures of farms. However, tourism is now the main wealth of the town, which has only 110 inhabitants (a figure divided by six in a century).
