Town news of the Eure, in Normandy region, Nassandres sur Risle takes place forty kilometers of Evreux, near Brionne, Thibouville or Fontaine l'Abbé. She was born on 1 January 2017 from the merger of Carsix, Fontaine-la-Soret, Nassandres and Perriers-la-Campagne.
Once owned by the family Bigards the territory of Nassandres sur Risle is then passed into the hands of Harcourt before joining their heirs, the family of Lorraine. Originally mainly rural and agricultural, the town has gradually developed to take the shape we know today, however, retaining its authenticity and natural charm.
Lovers of old stones will appreciate the architectural and historical heritage of the city, as well as its ideal location to discover the most beautiful sites in the region.
Listed historic monument, the castle of Fontaine-la-Soret was built in the second half of the eighteenth century. Also classified as a protected natural site, it also reveals labeled parks Remarkable Garden. On the neoclassical, the building is entirely in stone and decorated with brick panels. Other buildings from the same era are also visible, like the ride, common to the old rectory or cottage. The chapel of Saint-Eloi Saint-Lambert priory, still on the territory of Fontaine-la-Soret, is listed on the Historical Monuments for the beauty of its architecture. It presents a particular choir of the twelfth century, and a fifteenth home completely remodeled in the nineteenth. When you walk in the town, be sure not to admire a mansion and two houses of the seventeenth century.
Nassandres also full of beautiful sites to find the time to stay in the vicinity, including the Benedictine priory of Saint-Denis from the twelfth century church of Our Lady of the twelfth, sixteenth and nineteenth centuries, the former post house, the castle of the eighteenth century or the village hall installed in an ancient castle of which only survived the Saint Nicolas chapel.
The old town has a rich heritage Carsix which several items are now enrolled in the general inventory of cultural heritage. Walking through the village, you will discover the church with elements of the twelfth, fourteenth, sixteenth and nineteenth centuries, the eighteenth of the castle, a mansion or eighteenth houses and farms of the same period.
Joined to the general inventory of cultural heritage, St. Mellain church of Perriers-la-Campagne was built originally in the twelfth century, before being modified in the fifteenth, seventeenth and nineteenth century.
The new town has many protected natural sites and classified to find the time to trekking.
